Recipe for pickling:
3 oz of citric acid
1 lb of salt
combine in 1 gallon of warm water and dissolve
scale up the recipe as large as you need to submerge a hide.
This package is enough citric acid for 5 gallons of water, good for one medium sized hide or two to three small pelts.
