Custom Smoke-tanned Buckskin Deposit

This is a deposit for a custom smoke-tanned deer buckskin order.

Buckskin is the soft cloth textile made through the Smoke-tanning (brain-tanning) method. We use animal brain for its fat and smoke for its aldehydes to transform deer into this ancient, sacred, beautiful material.

Deer buckskin is sold at a rate of $45 CAD per square foot, between $350-$650 a hide depending on size. We reserve the largest hides from our annual collection during hunting season for custom orders. All animals are unique.

To order a buckskin, place your deposit through this link. Your shipping information will be collected at check-out. When we have finished tanning the hide, you will be contacted for the remaining cost. Expect a turn-around time of 3-6 months for custom buckskin. At check-out, you will pay the deposit + the shipping for the final buckskin. Please use a shipping address where you want to receive the hides.
